POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Help develop strategy to identify and capitalize on opportunities for the defense vertical in Nikon ADM in concert and working seamlessly with Nikon SLM Solutions sales and marketing team, Nikon ADM and its businesses and strategic advisors
- Align on tactics and execute strategy for defense based on above
- Beyond defense, develop strategy, identify opportunities, manage growth and market share gains in space and commercial aviation verticals – develop and cultivate key relationships across all 3 verticals
- Develop and manage Key Accounts in the Space, Defense and Commercial Aviation markets in close cooperation with the regional sales managers and within Nikon ADM for defense as well as ensuring long-term, positive customer relationships
- Drive necessary activities internally including driving alignment with technical and product teams, engagements and follow-up to enhance and maintain the segment’s sales pipeline and business results in line with quarterly and yearly targets together with regional sales team
- Lead the industrialization of Metal AM within Space, Defense and Commercial Aviation segments by working with our entire team to define programs, applications and customers to deploy our solutions
- Drive brand awareness and positioning of Nikon and Nikon SLM Solutions in Space, Defense and Commercial Aviation within the Americas by participating and speaking in conferences, tradeshows and summits defense-related, conferences and messaging to be aligned and coordinated with Nikon ADM and team
- Gather relevant macro market data and spending plans by key players, with the goal of deriving TAM and SAM with good analytics for Space, Defense and Commercial Aviation segments
- Develop innovative AM business case studies and publish customers success stories
- Monitor and report competitor activities with regards to their segment specific solutions
- Report activities and opportunities within the Nikon SLM Solutions CRM System
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 10 years of senior experience in business development, strategic marketing and sales, with at least 5 years in the Space, Defense or Commercial Aviation segments
- Experience in additive manufacturing within the Space, Defense and Commercial Aviation is of great advantage
- Excellent analytical skills, with a strong understanding of key business drivers
- Profound tactical sales skills in mapping accounts and decision makers
- Demonstrated success in Key Account Management
- Strong demonstrated ability to work successfully in multi-cultural and cross organizational environments
- Willing to travel extensively, including internationally
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- High attention to detail with strong oral and written communication and presentation preparation and delivery skills
- The candidate should be business fluent in English
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Aerospace, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing), Government Relationship, Economics, and Finance or related field, MBA a plus
