POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Identify and evaluate legal risks within U.S. operations, researching and interpreting existing and emerging laws to guide informed business decisions and risk assessments.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and approve proposals, terms & conditions, purchase orders, statements of work, and related contractual documents.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal business groups requiring legal support.
  • Demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Organize, direct, and provide legal support in specified areas under the direction of the General Counsel.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in legal roles, particularly within fast-paced, high-volume, and customer-focused environments.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong professionalism, diplomacy, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Willingness to develop new skills and expand legal knowledge to support various roles within the department.
  • Experience leading or coordinating complex projects involving cross-functional team members.
  • Must have experience with U.S. government contracting, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), CAS compliance, and agency-specific regulations.
  • Strong ability to work independently, communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing), and respond promptly to urgent situations.
  • Proven ability to earn trust, build productive relationships, and provide legal counsel to clients at all levels.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion, maintaining positive and professional interactions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or asylee.
