POSITION DESCRIPTION:
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Help develop strategy to identify and capitalize on opportunities for the DED (Directed Energy Deposition) working seamlessly with Nikon SLM Solutions sales and marketing teams.
- Align on tactics and execute strategy for DED based on above
- Beyond DED, develop strategy, identify opportunities, manage growth and market share gains in various Metal ADM verticals – develop and cultivate key relationships
- Contribute to market research and market analysis, including competitive strategic analysis.
- Develop and maintain a customer, and prospective customer, database using the Company CRM system.
- Identify and participate in regional and national trade shows, exhibits and conferences.
- Support trade show organization and planning.
- Participate in sales meetings and take responsibility for sales improvement initiatives and other assigned action items.
- Perform sales reporting functions on an ongoing and timely basis.
- Follow up with customers to respond to inquiries, solicit further sales, and solve or refer problems.
- Qualify lists of prospects from trade shows, e-marketing, trade and professional association membership lists, and other public records.
- Travel through assigned territory to call on existing and prospective customers to solicit orders.
- Quote prices and terms and review purchase orders for compliance to the quote.
- Develop innovative AM business case studies and publish customers success stories
- Monitor and report competitor activities with regards to their segment specific solutions
- Report activities and opportunities within the Nikon SLM Solutions CRM System
- At least 3 years of experience in Metal ADM, strategic marketing, and sales, with at least 5 years in the Directed Energy Deposition (DED)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Aerospace, Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing), Government Relationship, Economics, and Finance or related field, MBA a plus
- Excellent analytical skills, with a strong understanding of key business drivers
- Profound tactical sales skills in mapping accounts and decision makers
- Demonstrated success in Key Account Management
- Strong demonstrated ability to work successfully in multi-cultural and cross organizational environments
- Willing to travel extensively, including internationally
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- High attention to detail with strong oral and written communication and presentation preparation and delivery skills
- Experience in cross-functional projects involving business units and/or affiliated companies
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
- The candidate should be business fluent in English
