POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The HSE & Maintenance Engineer ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while managing the maintenance of critical infrastructure at Nikon SLM’s NAMTC facility. This role is responsible for implementing HSE processes, overseeing HAZMAT and waste management, and maintaining the facility’s operational readiness. The position serves as a key interface between internal teams, external suppliers, and regulatory agencies to uphold safety and operational standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and maintain HSE processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Cal/OSHA standards.
  • Manage HAZMAT waste disposal, including interactions with external suppliers.
  • Plan and execute building and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain HSE dashboards to track safety performance and compliance metrics.
  • Act as the official representative for HSE management for Nikon SLM NA.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HSE management and facility maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and waste management processes.
  • Operational mindset with excellent planning and execution skills.
  • Experience working in a global environment and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Forklift certification (training provided on-site if not already obtained).
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and process adherence.
