POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Be involved in cutting-edge future technologies and exciting new product development programs
  • Regularly consult with the development teams and identify inventive potential
  • Give guidance to our internal inventors in the drafting of invention disclosures
  • Cooperate with external patent attorneys in drafting patent applications
  • Conduct patent searches regarding patentability, freedom to operate, invalidity
  • Take part in ongoing competitor patenting monitoring and potential follow-up activities in cooperation with external patent attorneys
  • Prepare and conduct internal employee trainings

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master degree or comparable in a technical, scientific or economic academic discipline with additional qualification as patent engineer or comparable
  • At least 1 year of relevant professional experience in the field of technology products
  • Experience in working with a common IP administration system would be a plus
  • Good grasp of abstract concepts and the ability to learn quickly
  • Sensitivity for the meaning of details and joy in dealing with complex technical matters
  • Open-minded and confident manner even across department and company boundaries
  • Your business fluent communication skills in German and English language complete your profile – additional language skills e.g. in Chinese, Japanese or French would be an advantage
