POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Customers around the globe utilize our Laser Powder Bed Fusion machines in day-to-day operation to change the future of manufacturing. The Process Development Team contributes to this challenge by developing, testing, and qualifying some of the key components of our machines. One of which is the gas flow system which removes any process by-products from the chamber. To reuse the inert gas, any by-products are removed before re-entering the chamber using a dedicated filtration unit. You will focus on this unit by:
  • Ensuring proper system design by utilizing System Engineering practices
  • Developing, testing, and qualifying new system features
  • Validation of filter concepts and supporting hardware
  • Customer and Supplier communication
  • Support on system and operational safety

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor / Master degree or equivalent certification in the field of engineering (mechanical, electrical, …)
  • 3+ years of experience in managing projects
  • Well-structured work ethic, able to manage multiple complex challenges at once
  • Familiar with System Engineering
  • A background in filtration technology is favorable
