Due to strong demand for our solutions, we are looking for a Regional Business Director UK & Nordic (m/f/d). This position represents a great opportunity to become part of an international growing team and take responsibility for developing our business and generate sales in UK, Ireland, and Nordic countries. The Regional Business Director (m/f/d) reports to the VP Sales EMEA and works closely together with Application Support, Inside Sales and Customer Service. This position is home office based

Position Descriptions:

  • Define your territory sales plan and execute your key actions to achieve defined sales objectives for the territory
  • Develop and engage new prospective customers in aerospace, automotive, medical and energy markets
  • Account management of defined strategic accounts and customers to win new business and grow our base
  • Manage, coach and support the development of the sales pipeline of our sales partner(s) that perform ongoing coverage of the target markets
  • Act as a consultant to potential customers with regards to our solutions and best fit for defined applications
  • Follow up and qualify leads and conduct visits to existing and prospective customers
  • Invite prospective customers to SLM Application Centre for product demonstrations and customer workshops
  • Work closely with the business development, application engineering and internal sales teams to succeed in winning the business
  • Develop and maintain a (prospective) customer database using the company CRM system as well as manage your sales funnel providing periodical forecasts and sales reports
  • You participate in trade shows, exhibits and conferences and contribute to market research and market analysis, including competitive strategic analysis

Qualification and Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering and/or business with technical acumen (Bachelor, Master)
  • 5+ years of sales experience selling solutions and/or high technology capital goods to manufacturing companies
  • Ability to apply a solution sales approach that translates features into customer benefits
  • Sales management skills to effectively manage the sales partner(s)’ business
  • Professional experience in the field of additive manufacturing is highly beneficial
  • Being an effective, convincing communicator and fair negotiator you quickly build trusting relationships with prospects and customers
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills to proficiently manage sales project complexities
  • Experience in developing and delivering professional sales presentations as well as the ability to write clear and concise reports and business correspondence
  • People’ person with open, ‘can do’ attitude and hands-on mentality combined with an independent and structured way of working
  • You are fluent in English and willing to travel nationally and internationally. Any additional language skills would be an advantage
