POSITION DESCRIPTION:
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Lead overall product integration within design tools and databases to ensure cohesive functionality and robust product design.
- Oversee all mechanical and electrical interfaces at module and unit levels to ensure compatibility and integrity.
- Own and maintain the Type Design Bill of Material (TD-BOM) throughout the product lifecycle.
- Create initial concepts and define final product layouts in collaboration with internal teams.
- Check and release system drawings, ensuring adherence to standards and project timelines.
- Lead collaboration between mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, and supply chain teams to support product industrialization.
- Establish high- and low-level Product Breakdown Structures (PBS) in collaboration with system engineers.
- Plan and oversee integrated systems, sub-assembly testing, and ensure designs meet all requirements
- Lead and support design reviews, providing technical guidance and oversight where needed.
- Take ownership of technical documentation, structural integrity assessments, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in 3D/2D CAD design, product integration, and high-technology content development (e.g., Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Devices).
- Strong knowledge of stack-up analysis, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA).
- Significant experience with Siemens NX/Teamcenter or Autodesk Inventor/Vault.
- Excellent understanding of product lifecycle management, change management, and configuration control.
- Proficiency in FMEA and impact analysis across the product lifecycle.
- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional, international teams.
- Fluent in English.
