POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a Software Development Engineer, you will contribute to the advancement of additive manufacturing by designing, developing, and optimizing cutting-edge software solutions for our innovative metal 3D printing machines. This role focuses on creating applications and tools to enhance machine control, data preparation, process monitoring, and user interactions. By working closely with a global and multidisciplinary team, you will help shape the future of the additive manufacturing industry.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and implement software applications for machine control, real-time monitoring, and data processing.
  • Develop user-friendly interfaces and intuitive workflows to improve machine usability.
  • Create and refine geometric algorithms to enable accurate data preparation and manipulation.
  • Implement vision-based and sensor-driven systems for real-time layer and process monitoring.
  • Develop algorithms for real-time corrections during the manufacturing process to ensure high-quality results.
  • Work alongside engineering, hardware, and operations teams to integrate software with cutting-edge hardware systems, including lasers, optics, and automation components.
  • Contribute to the development of new exposure strategies and additive manufacturing processes.
  • Write unit tests and ensure software reliability through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Document software designs and adhere to traceability requirements.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong background in object-oriented programming and design principles (e.g., SOLID, Clean Code).
  • Professional experience in developing software for industrial systems, machine control, or automation.
  • Proficiency in C#/.NET or other programming languages such as C++, Java, or Python.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools like Git, Jira, and Azure DevOps, as well as testing frameworks like NUnit or Moq.
  • Experience with control systems, geometric algorithms, or real-time monitoring is a plus.
  • Analytical thinking and a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a multicultural environment.
  • Enthusiasm for innovation and emerging technologies.
