POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Subcontract Manager serves as the commercial backbone of US operations, managing third-party manufacturing (3PM) and supporting procurement for new product introductions (NPI). This role ensures operational excellence through effective subcontract management and compliance with regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead demand planning and execution for 3PM subcontract operations.
  • Manage NPI procurement processes, including supplier qualification, contract management, and the purchase-to-pay cycle.
  • Maintain compliance with the Buy American Act (BAA), Trade Agreements Act (TAA), and Department of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Drive projects to improve operational efficiency and digitalization within the department.
 
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience. MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years in project management, production, and procurement; experience in demand planning and subcontract management.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills; proficiency in project management tools (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 certifications preferred).
  • Must be a US person (ITAR compliance); willingness to travel internationally to Nikon AM Tech Centers and global offices.
