POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As an Application Customer Engagement Leader (CEL), you serve as the technical co-pilot to the Sales organization and the primary bridge to the Application Development Engineers (ADE). Combining commercial senses with sound technical expertise, you qualify complex customer requirements, translate commercial opportunities into structured engineering scopes for ADE, and collaborate with ADE to deliver high-impact technical outcomes - such as benchmark builds and business case analyses - that drive compelling customer value propositions aligned with the sales strategy.

  • Support Sales Account Managers in identifying, qualifying, and developing LPBF business opportunities 
  • Act as the primary technical contact for customers during the pre-sales process
  • Build trusted relationships with customer engineering, manufacturing, and management teams
  • Lead technical discussions, workshops, and application reviews with customers 
  • Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and compelling value propositions 
  • Technical and Commercial Evaluation 
  • Evaluate opportunities for cost reduction, performance improvement, and supply chain optimization through additive manufacturing
  • Perform technical and economic evaluations to support capital equipment sales 
  • Develop customer-specific business case analyses and presentations
  • Recommend suitable machines, material, and process configurations
  • Define customer requirements for Business Case Analyses (BCA) and Benchmark (BM) studies 
  • Project Execution and Communication 
  • Coordinate customer benchmark projects from planning through final reporting 
  • Deliver tailored consulting services and workshops at Nikon SLM Solutions and customer sites
  • Present technical results and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders 
  • Represent Nikon SLM Solutions in customer meetings, technical workshops, and relevant industry conferences
  • Expertise and Continuous Improvement 
  • Maintain expert knowledge of LPBF materials, applications, and industry trends 
  • Support the development of application guidelines, best practices, and technical documentation 
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of application development methodologies 
  • Work closely with Application Development Engineer by serving as the primary and strategic interface between external customers and internal Application Development Engineers 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree required (or equivalent certification) in an engineering field  
  • At least 2 years of business experience in additive manufacturing on L-PBF systems
  • Experience in working with customers in the area of application engineering or technical sales  
  • Professional experience in data preparation, Simulation or LPBF Monitoring (nice to have)
  • Open communication and networking skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in an international environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and design for additive manufacturing (DfAM)
  • Experience interacting directly with customers in a technical or commercial environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel as required, 30-50%
  • Fluency in Turkish & English
