ABOUT THE POSITION:

Location: Ideally based in the Emilia Romagna region

Travel: Frequent travel within Italy required

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Service Technician to support our customers in Italy. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, service, and repair of our advanced metal additive manufacturing systems at customer sites.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • After training and learning on the job, you will independently support our customers in Italy
  • You will install our Nikon SLM machines on-site and be responsible for their maintenance and service
  • Troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and laser-based systems
  • Work on solutions in direct communication with customer service
  • Comprehensive documentation of maintenance results
  • You will conduct customer training within your area of responsibility

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completed training in the area of mechatronics, electronics or equivalent
  • Experience as a field service technician, ideally in the field of industrial machinery or high-tech equipment; highly motivated candidates with less experience will be considered as well
  • Fluency in Italian and good English skills
  • Experience in working on L-PBF systems is highly beneficial
  • A high level of quality awareness, hands-on mentality and an independent working method as well as 100% willingness to travel complete your profile
  • It is expected that up to 75% of the assignments will be carried out in the Emilia Romagna region; availability to travel to other locations in Italy is required as well
